Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin A is a bacterially produced bioprotein with an inhibitory effect on the transmission of nerve signals to muscle cells and glands. The effect after an injection starts after 3-5 days and lasts between 2-6 months.

Botulinum toxin A can be used in the treatment of so-called frown lines to correct a pinched facial expression, which can result from the contraction of the eyebrows. Botulinum toxin A is responsible for deliberately weakening this muscle, thus largely eliminating the frown lines.

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring disaccharide with water-binding capacity.
Depending on the product, the effect of hyaluronic acid takes between 3-12 months.

Hyaluronic acid may also be used for wrinkle treatment without surgery (for example, in the nasolabial folds). It is possible to individually raise the midface area with the help of hyaluronic acid. As a result, the flattening of the nasolabial fold may be specifically counteracted. At the same time, the appearance of a tired facial expression can be corrected.

In principle

Quality botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid preparations by well established firms are used exclusively in our practice because inferior products have the potential to cause significant side effects.
In all treatments, a 14-day follow-up period is included. If a post-treatment regimen should be necessary, it is included at no additional cost.
